Waidhofen “[a:bua]” prize for Thomas Welser

Welser receives the award in the “Future” category primarily for his commitment to the Beta Campus.

Since 1991, the city of Waidhofen has been awarding a prize to deserving personalities from the fields of culture or sport. In the beginning, it was called the sports prize or culture prize, but a few years ago it was renamed “[a:bua]” and expanded to include the areas of social matters and future.

During a ceremony in the Crystal Hall of the Rothschild Castle, our CEO, Thomas Welser, received the “[a:bua]” in the “Future” category. Speaker Dr. Friedrich Hartner particularly emphasized his commitment to the Beta Campus, which functions as a network between companies, start-ups, schools and a wide variety of initiatives to do with the training of skilled workers or research. Hartner praised Thomas Welser as a person with inspiring powers of persuasion and someone who is passionate about his cause.

Many congratulations!
