As well as specializing in very strong steel grades, Welser is able to cold roll-form up to 8mm thick steel profiles, far beyond the usual 4mm or 5mm thick profiles that are generally thought to be the limit. Thicker, stronger profiles can mean a smaller profile footprint, leading to more internal space for the same external volumetric module size. Increased strength increases stability which can lead to higher module stacking capability.
Welser’s extraordinary technical capabilities mean that very complex steel profile shapes are possible, increasing functionality from a single steel profile, both accelerating and simplifying module build.
Advanced roll-forming technology means critical length tolerances can be maintained over full module lengths, and typical roll-forming issues such as end splay and end cut straightness can be removed. This enables a faster, more repeatable build time to produce a more accurate volumetric module.
Very accurate hole positioning along the length of a profile, with extremely tight control over tolerance “stacking” also helps ensure consistent tight fit of module components.
