Profiles made from high-strength steel

The optimum steel grade or alloy for every application

Steel with its alloying elements (aluminum, nickel, copper, etc.) has unbeatable properties that prove themselves every day in a wide variety of applications. In the construction industry, steel impresses with its high stability, low weight and high static load-bearing capacity. In façade construction, high spans and large glass surfaces can be achieved with visually filigree profiles made of high-strength steel. In the Solar Power or Photovoltaic industry, steel can defy extreme weather conditions - with high stability and good corrosion resistance, which is made possible by a wide variety of coatings.

The wide range of steel grades and alloys allows you to select the optimum material for your application. Thanks to the roll forming process, complex cross-sections and bespoke profiles can be produced from high-strength and ultra-high-strength steels that were unthinkable just a few years ago. For example, we are able to produce your bespoke profile with so-called 180° bends and with the tightest tolerances - in many cases accurate to thousandths of a mm - and reproduce it with a very high degree of repeatability.

High-strength steel profiles - your benefits

Long service life at low cost thanks to appropriate selection of feedstock material and specific surface finishing:

  • Wide range of possible mechanical properties
    • Yield strengths from 120 MPa to 1350 MPa
    • Tensile strengths from 260 MPa to 1700 MPa
    • Variable ductility, elasticity
    • A high modulus of elasticity of 210,000 MPa for high component rigidity, particularly advantageous when used in combination with glass, such as for façade elements
    • Very good wear resistance
  • The chemical properties or coatings play the biggest role in corrosion resistance
    • Material solutions are available for corrosivity categories from C1 (e.g. interiors) to C5 (e.g. coastal areas) and CX (e.g. offshore)
    • Use of zinc coating systems, organic coatings or other systems
