The plant is to be built northeast of Vienna in the municipality of Schönkirchen-Reyersdorf and will cost around €10 million. The plant is expected to have a service life of at least 40 years. Additional plants are planned for other locations.
45,000 PV modules are to be installed by the end of 2021, which will generate 14.25 gigawatt hours of solar electricity per year. This is equivalent to the consumption of 4,400 households and equates to a saving of approximately 2,400 tonnes of CO2.
Components of the photovoltaic substructures are manufactured by Welser Profile. This includes the concrete foundations, beams and truss profiles or truss assemblies in various lengths. The profiles are heavy-duty and durable. Strip galvanised raw material with a high layer thickness is used for optimum corrosion protection. This ensures that the planned runtime of the plant is achieved without any hassle – meaning the project can reach it’s full potential in terms of profitability.
